Ab Exercise Equipment- Flat Abs Secrets Revealed

Ab Exercise Equipment - Flat Abs Secrets Revealed
By Nicole Hamilton

We've all heard the big promises before. Take a magic pill, exercise for 5 minutes a day with our special ab exercise equipment and "Poof!" you will have the flat abs you have always dreamed of. Can it really be this easy to get rock hard abs? And if it were as simple as using a fancy piece of ab exercise equipment for a few minutes a day, why aren't we all walking around showing off our beautiful midriffs. I'd like to share that while there is no magic involved in getting beautiful abs, it is certainly an attainable goal for all.

So how do we attain the highly desired goal of beautiful abs? There are various things that need to work together for you to achieve your goal. Using highly acclaimed ab exercise equipment alone may strengthen your core, but since most of us are not working towards getting muscular abdominals covered by a layer of flab, we can not allow ourselves to stop there. The use of ab exercise equipment must be supported by proper nutrition and cardio-vascular exercise.

By zoning in on these three facets; proper nutrition, cardio-vascular exercise and using suitable ab exercise equipment, you will see the inches around your waistline virtually melt away right before your eyes. Let's further discuss each of these facets.

Proper Nutrition

It is not necessary to go on silly starvation diets in order to flatten your abs. In fact, contrary to what many believe, extreme diets often put our bodies in a defensive mode, forcing them to store fat in order to prevent starvation. Not Good! So what is good? Stick to a balanced diet and make sure you MMED!

-M- Minimize your complex carbohydrate intake.

-M- Minimize your sodium (salt) intake to avoid bloating.

-E- Eat plenty of high fiber foods to stay regular.

-D- Drink a lot of water.

Cardio-Vascular Exercise

The importance of cardio-vascular exercise can not be stressed enough. It helps us to burn excess fat and overall, live longer and healthier lives. Half hour sessions of cardio-vascular exercise four times a week is enough to do the job. Walking, running, even chasing a happy and healthy toddler are all acceptable types of cardio-vascular exercise. There are also certain types of ab exercise equipment which allow us to get a cardio workout while working our ab muscles. Two examples of these are the Ab Coaster and the Ab Circle Pro. Both of these ab exercise equipment have a "treadmill-like" quality forcing its users into a constant, high intensity workout.

Use Ab Exercise Equipment

For picture perfect abs, it is important not only to loose fat, but to build abdominal muscles. Good, old fashion sit ups can get the job done, but for faster, more efficient results, ab exercise equipment may be used. These increase our range of motion and decrease the strain we put on our neck and back muscles. If you are interested in investing in ab exercise equipment, it is important to do the necessary research to find which is best suited for you.

Most importantly, always remember to consult with your physician before starting any diet or exercise program. Happy Slimming!

Ab Exercise Equipment - Revolutionary Path to Fitness

Ab Exercise Equipment - Revolutionary Path to Fitness
By Nicole Hamilton

Close your eyes for just a second and allow yourself to drift into a wonderful haven, a place in which you have the perfect, rock hard abs you have always desired; a place in which new and innovative ab exercise equipment does the work and all you do is reap the benefits. Believe it or not, this wonderful haven can now be your reality. There have been recent developments in ab exercise equipment that serve to make your journey to fitness a simple and enjoyable one.

Ab exercise equipment such as ab crunch machines, exercise balls and ab wheel rollers are all revolutionary devices that have made amazing abs more attainable, but it is the taboo topic of the ab belt that I feel the need to discuss. Ab belts are belts which use electric muscle stimulation (EMS) to force the abdominal muscles to contract and release on their own, thereby simulating an actual abdominal workout. Unlike other ab exercise equipment, the ab belt does all the work, leaving you time to do the important things in life, like surf through articles online!

So now you are wondering, does the ab belt actually work? Almost a decade ago, when ab belts were introduced by companies such as Ab Force and Fast Abs, the name of the ab exercise equipment was temporarily tarnished by the companies' great claims and small results.

However, in recent years, after new developments in technology, thousands of consumers have reported seeing a big difference in the strength and appearance of their abs. Companies marketing these belts now also recommend partnering the use of this ab exercise equipment with sensible eating and regular exercise. Otherwise saying, while you do not have to be an exercise and diet fiend to see results using these ab belts, I most certainly would not advise you to wear one while eating an entire cheese cake or pumpkin pie and expect to see drastic (positive) results!

Alright, so the ab belt works, but is it safe? I admit that sending a charge through your body to force your abdominal muscles to exercise themselves does sound pretty wonky! However, doctors and physical therapists have been using EMS technology for almost forty years to help rehabilitate their patients. Safe? I dare say so, but don't take my word for it. Many ab belts currently on the market have been approved for use by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Ultimately, only you can decide if the ab belt is right for you!

Don't forget to consult a physician before starting this or any exercise program.
